A great blog post and comments about old depictions of prehistoric animals. You really should drop whatever you are doing and follow every single link in the comment thread. Trust me. And you should go get this tattooed on your back, and then send me a photo. (via This Isn't Happiness) Friday, December 12, 2008

If I was one of those people who made lists of "Things to do before I die", somewhere near the top would be "Visit The Black Hole". Tick. I only had an hour before it closed, so I saved my time for looking, rather than taking pictures, particularly since others have documented it so well. Right before I left for New Mexico, I found this wonderful film by Coudal partners. Monday, November 17, 2008
Popple is a cat you can change into a dog. Or a dog you can change into a cat. (Warning: If you are disturbed by the idea of taxidermy involving cats and dogs, don't click. Watch this instead. ) (Thanks, Kat and Kevin!) Saturday, November 15, 2008

"Dude. What if it, like, was on a truck? That like, had rockets, and like, it crashed into a barn? What then, dude? " "Dude, I dunno. Let's find out." "Dude, that's not enough rockets. You need more rockets, dude." "Ok, dude. How's this?" I took out the blogroll from the side- it was rather out-of-date, and I think it was somehow causing the problem with whitespace at the top of the main page. It doesn't mean I don't read your blog. Is anyone going to miss it? Did anyone ever click there? Don't you have an rss reader yet? Wednesday, July 16, 2008

In the late 60s our Saturday morning cartoons were often interrupted by warnings about the dangers of blasting caps. None of us had ever seen a blasting cap, but we were all terrified of anything shiny lying on the ground. Part one Part two Monday, April 07, 2008

Starbucks just bought Clover. I've yet to try the coffee from one, since the only shop in town that has one makes such good espresso that I always go for that instead. Maybe it means we'll finally be able to get a good cup of coffee at four-bucks, though. Monday, March 17, 2008
